Reporting for 2008/2009 season.
CropMonitor reporting for the new season has begun. Locations of the live-monitoring sites will be published on the website in the coming weeks.

The first 'news from the regions' report by AICC members is available at http://cropmonitor.co.uk/FoLCompiledReports/viewReport.cfm?week_id=55

Phoma
Phoma is now present in Oilseed Rape. In the South West, AICC members have reported levels of up to 10% in early-sown treated crops, while in the Eastern Counties first spotting has been noted. Vigilance is required as the wet weather in August and September suggests an increased risk of seeing phoma in crops early this year.

Turnip Sawfly
AICC members have reported this week that Turnip Sawfly caterpillars have been found in early sown crops in both the South and the East, although the risk is low elsewhere. Their presence is sporadic, but foliar damage can be significant if present. It is worth monitoring crops in the South and East.
